UPDATE: 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025 We at Bossier Schools want to provide an update regarding the suspect being sought by police in Bossier City. He is still at-large and a heavy police presence is surrounding Airline, Apollo, Greenacres and Plantation Park. We will dismiss at normal time and police will be patrolling neighborhoods to ensure students arrive home safely. We do encourage parents whose children walk home from school to pick them up if at all possible. They are asked to arrive prior to school dismissal and come inside the school. They will need to show an ID. All after school activities are cancelled. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Yes, it will be cold, but our buses will be warm, schools will be nice and toasty, and hot meals will be served. We look forward to welcoming our students back Tuesday!

A joyous holiday season will be enjoyed by many Bossier Parish families, thanks to the Airline Viking Beta Club! They assisted with the delivery of thousands of canned good items collected at the school for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office “Operation Blessing” outreach program. Airline has consistently been one of the biggest contributors over the years, this season being no exception! Way to go, Vikes! #wintheday #Bossierschools

It's Team Santa all the way at Benton Elementary, where the jolly old elf arrived early with some special visitors in tow. Old St. Nick brought his friends from New Dawn Energy along to surprise the Tigers with $50,000! The company adopted Benton Elementary three years ago and has generously gifted $50,000 each Christmas. Principal Kim Hawkins says the money has enabled her school to buy risers for the stage, purchase playground equipment and send teachers for professional development. As a way to say "thank you," the kindergarteners performed two holiday songs for company execs and students sent artwork to hang in the offices at New Dawn Energy so they can be reminded year-round of the Tigers' gratitude. #BossierSchools #wintheday
