Calling all difference makers of the MEADOWVIEW Community!! You know who you are.

On Saturday, September 28, Bossier Schools will mark 10 YEARS of Day of Service, one of the largest volunteer events in the parish, and we want YOU to be a part of the anniversary celebration!

Each year our school district teams up with the United Way of Northwest Louisiana for a fun day of philanthropy, enabling us to serve others without the expectation of receiving something in return. Day of Service brings together hundreds of students, employees and family members who work side by side for a common goal; the betterment of our community.

We want every school and center to participate in the 10th Annual Day of Service from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 28. It’s as easy as appointing a team captain and selecting the nonprofit organization you are interested in working with by Friday, September 13. Everyone is welcome and multiple teams are encouraged at each school and/or center. Please note final pairings will be made by the United Way based on availability.

Want to sign up as an individual? You can do that, too! Just scroll through the projects and sign up for the Day of Service wrap-up party. Here is the registration link: https://unitedwaynwla.org/bossierteams.

Then, make plans to attend the wrap-up party from 12:30-2 p.m. that afternoon at the Shelton Sports Complex, sponsored by Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington. There will be food, games and the announcement of team awards.

We hope you will make plans to join Bossier Schools as we roll up our sleeves and lend a hand during our 10th Annual Day of Service. Let’s be difference makers together and WIN the Day the Bossier Schools way!
