Parkway High will take a stand against domestic violence by putting one foot in front of the other when the Panthers sponsor the 12th annual La’Keia Rawls 5K Walk/Run on December 7 at the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway boat launch in Bossier City.
Rawls was a Bossier High School graduate who lost her life due to domestic violence. All proceeds raised from the event will benefit The Salvation Army shelter for women and children.
Cost to participate is $5 and pre-race registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m. Trophies will be awarded for the top three men and women and food and beverages will be served after the race.
