Congratulations to Elm Grove Middle School band director Erica Ernst who has been honored as the 2023-24 District VIII Middle School Band Director of the Year.
This recognition is especially gratifying because it is determined by a vote of band directors spanning Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Desoto and Webster parishes. The award highlights Ernst’s exceptional accomplishments and advancements in the EGMS Band program as she teaches today’s generation of students the art of reading and playing music. Now, that is music to our ears!
