English Language Proficiency Test
Students who are learning English as a second language are assessed annually using the English Language Proficiency Test. The assessment measures proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing and comprehending English.
The English Language Proficiency Test is aligned to Louisiana’s English language development standards and is composed of tests for four grade clusters (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) in four language domains (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). Test results are used to report annual progress and attainment of English proficiency for Limited English Proficiency students.
