As its name implies, technology and innovation are foremost in the curriculum at Bossier Parish School for Technology and Innovative Learning (BPSTIL). This exciting project has enable Bossier Schools to expand course offerings in the Department of Education’s Career Clusters, giving high school students the opportunity to explore various fields of interest as well as accrue college credit and industry certifications.
Positioned off I-220 and Swan Lake Road, the 110,000 square feet facility is centrally located for easy access by our students throughout the parish. Its exterior and interior design are as innovative as the curriculum. The two teaching wings are separated by a court yard but linked by the Administrative Wing, includes an extensive culinary arts department, banquet facilities, a student-run bistro and outdoor dining.
Construction started at the beginning of the year and was completed for the 2015/2016 school year. The two story wing houses science, technology, medical, business, law and TV classrooms. The one story wing houses construction technology, welding, culinary arts, administrative offices, small engines, auto painting and auto body repairs.
